4th Giorgio Rota Best Paper Award / The Selected Works

The winners of the 4th «Giorgio Rota» Best Paper Award have been appointed.

They are:

Ainhoa Aparicio Fenoll - Assistant Professor, Collegio Carlo Alberto, Turin (Italy) and Zoё Kuehn - Assistant Professor, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Spain),

who win a prize of 600 Euros each with the paper : Education Policies and Migration across European Countries.

Simone Bertoli - Associate Professsor, CERDI, Université d'Auvergne (France) and Ilse Ruyssen - BOF postdoctoral research fellow, SHERPPA, Ghent University (Belgium),

who win a prize of 600 Euros each with the paper: Networks and migrants' intended destination

Xingna Zhang - Ph.D. candidate, School of Geographical Sciences, University of Bristol (United Kingdom) who wins a prize of 1.200 Euros with the paper: Analysis of interprovincial migration and its streams in China from 2000 to 2010 with extended and enhanced gravity models 

The winners will present their work at the Giorgio Rota Conference that will be held on June 20th, 2016 in Turin. Schedule of the conference will be published on the Centro Einaudi website soon.

Participation to the conference is mandatory in order to be awarded the prize. The Centro Einaudi will also refund travel expenses to Turin. Details to be found in the Call.

The award-winning papers will be published by the Centro Einaudi in an ISBN e-book "Quaderni del Premio Giorgio Rota".

Riccardo Novaro - Student, Master of Arts in Economics, Collegio Carlo Alberto – University of Turin: Il fenomeno del riciclaggio nel settore immobiliare: analisi del mercato italiano a livello provinciale, who wins a prize of 1.200 Euros;

Lucia Rizzica and Marco Tonello - Junior Researchers, Bank of Italy, Economic Research Department, Economics and Law Division: Exposure to media and corruption perceptions, who win a prize of 600 Euros each;

Angela De Martiis - PhD Candidate, Research Assistant, Zeppelin University, Friedrichshafen Germany: Shadow Economy, poverty and institutional quality, who wins a prize of 1.200 Euros.

The winners will present their work at the Giorgio Rota Conference that will be held on June 15, 2015 in Turin. Schedule of the conference will be published on the Centro Einaudi website soon.

The winners of the 2nd  annual «Giorgio Rota» Best Paper Award 2013 will present their work at the «Giorgio Rota» Conference organised in Torino, at the Centro Einaudi, on Monday, April 14th.  Participation to the conference is mandatory in order to be awarded the prize.

Alessandro Gandini – dottorando in Sociologia presso l'Università degli Studi di Milano – Graduate School in Social and Political Sciences, Dipartimento di Scienze Sociali e Politiche: Social media e lavoro autonomo. Precarietà, lavoro gratuito, innovazione and Giovanna Santanera - dottoranda (Università degli Studi di Milano "Bicocca", Dipartimento di Scienze Umane per la Formazione R. Massa --EHESS, Centre d'Etudes Africaines, Parigi): Afro-modernità in polvere: esperienze video da Lagos a Douala; who win a prize of 500 Euros each.

The winners will present their work at the Giorgio Rota Conference that will be organised at the end of March 2014 in Turin. The workshop date and programme will be soon published on the Centro Einaudi website (www.centroeinaudi.it).

Participation to the conference is mandatory in order to be awarded the prize. The Centro Einaudi will also refund travel expenses to Turin.
