The article describes the inception and evolution of Rete Cibo Brescia, a network aimed at addressing food poverty, which emerged in response to the Covid-19 emergency and progressively structured over time. It analyzes the role of the Municipality of Brescia in coordinating the third-sector organizations involved, the creation of a coordination committee, and the activities of connection, support, and aggregation carried out by Rete Cibo Brescia. The challenges faced are highlighted, from the initial fragmentation of initiatives to the need for a long-term integrated and sustainable approach. The article describes the development of the programmatic manifesto ‘Conta su di noi’, the intentional structuring of a horizontal governance framework, and the adoption of Collaboration Pacts to integrate food poverty alleviation efforts. Finally, the text reflects on the need for more structured intervention models and regulatory updates to effectively address the complexity of food poverty.
